Most companies we incorporate for clients are done so with the clients own choice of name. Once upon a time clients would buy a shelf company already incorporated with a name as chosen by us and then change the name to their choice of name. This is not now necessary as we can instantaneously determine through the ASIC website if a name is available or not (in the old days it could take weeks) and there is no extra charge to change the name which is expensive.

We do not charge any extra for this service.

We ask clients to give us up to three names, in order of preference, on the order form so we stand a higher chance of securing a name the client wants, the first time around.

There are several factors that may prohibit the use of a name and they include: -

1. Names that are specifically prohibited to be used as listed by the ASIC (eg Bank, Trust, or names that relate to government instrumentalities etc)
2. Names that are "idenitical" (ie exactly the same as) to existing company names or registered business names through the State and Territorial Governments.
