Overview:

Following our Managing Director’s extensive overseas experience in the corporate World, Shelfcom has earned for itself the enviable reputation of being truly international in its abilities. In fact many shelf company incorporators operating in Australia refer international enquiries to us.
Shelfcom is also associated with a group of company incorporators operating throughout the World and services referrals from those offices and for clients introduced by them.

Our Managing Director acts as the resident Director and Secretary of in excess of one hundred Australian companies owned by overseas interests and takes a very active role in the management of many of them which have businesses of substance in Australia.

Every Australia Proprietary (Pty) company must have at least on resident Director (Public companies must have at least three Directors two of whom must be residents) and a Public Officer. Having a Company Secretary is optional for a Proprietary company (a Public company must have one) and if the company does have one, he or she must be a resident of Australia. If a Proprietary company does not appoint a company Secretary then the ASIC looks to the Directors to fulfil the responsibilities of the Company Secretary, particularly the resident Director, so if Shelfcom is providing the resident Director then it also insists that a resident Secretary be formally appointed, whether it is a Shelfcom person or otherwise.

All orders from overseas attract an additional fee of Aust$192.50 to cover additional costs and disbursements that will be incurred such as international correspondence, telephone and couriers.
